A new chapter in regional air travel has officially begun with the launch of a direct flight route between Prishtina and Salzburg. The inauguration ceremony took place at Salzburg Airport, marking an important step toward improving mobility, economic cooperation, and cultural exchange between Kosovo and Austria. The event brought together key representatives, including officials from Kosovo’s diplomatic mission in Austria and senior management from the airport. Their presence highlighted the significance of this new connection, not only as a transportation development but also as a symbol of strengthening bilateral ties.
The newly established route, operated by a regional aviation company, is scheduled to run twice a week. This frequency is expected to provide consistent and reliable travel options for passengers, especially benefiting the Kosovar diaspora living in Austria. For many, the new route offers a more convenient and time-efficient way to travel between their place of residence and their homeland.
